I’m still sifting through the quotes and quips that I shared on my Facebook page throughout 2015, and since I don’t want to drag out this theme too long into the new year, today I’m going to post a few more of my favorites for you. A couple of the categories I’ve divided the pictures into aren’t as large as others, so I’m going to include several of them in this post, beginning with Friendship.
I’m lucky to have good friends – friends I love like family (or better than family, sometimes. LOL), friends who bring joy to my life whenever I hear from them or think about them, friends who touch my heart and often my funny bone, friends who I can count on to be there for me when I need a hug, a shoulder, a chuckle or a partner-in-crime.
So here are several FB posts I’ve shared about Friendship:
Another category I’m including today is what I’ll call The Beach.
Those of you who have read some of my previous blog posts may remember how much I love being at the beach – or the shore, as we tend to call it here – how it soothes my soul and helps to calm my racing mind, how the salt air is like a tonic that rejuvenates me after a long winter, and the warm breeze is a loving caress on my skin. And even though I don’t want to ‘wish away time’, I am already counting down the days until I can settle into cottage life again this summer.
Here are some posts I shared about The Beach in 2015:
And finally, I’d like to share a few pictures I posted about Music, as that is another subject dear to my heart. Here they are:
That’s about it for today, friends. Did any of these pictures and quotes resonate with you? If they did, I hope they made you smile a little smile and appreciate what is good in your lives.

Great quotes for reflection! When I need to “calm” myself I often picture walking on the sand along Main River in Kent County where my uncle had a cottage or just sitting enjoying the view. We were there a lot all through my growing up and young adult years.
I remember when you used to go to Rexton area to visit your relatives, and that you always enjoyed your time there. I think we’re naturally drawn to water – so it’s a good thing we live on the east coast where we can easily access it.
Loved ALL your past quotes Sylvia–I think that’s why Jesus talked in Parables–they were often short and sweet and right to the point!
Short and sweet – like me? Why, thank you, Pat! Hehehe….
The beach ones do it for me. Thanks for sharing these. Hope you are doing well.
Yes, a lot of us are drawn to the ocean…and I know that I am fortunate to be able to spend time there every year. And I hope that you, too, are doing well, Linda. All the best to you in 2016!
I particularly like “Here’s to the girlfriends that will help me cause trouble in the nursing home” since I opened your post right after the Save the Date for my annual Pajama Party reunion with 7 girls from high school (class of 1967)! The other is the beach. I live one mile from the beach all year round. The rhythm of the waves on the shore soothe my soul!
I’d love to live that close to the beach all year round – except I don’t want to be washed into the ocean from one of the Atlantic winter storms we sometimes get around here! LOL.
And the Pajama Party sounds like SUCH a good idea – have a blast with your girlfriends!
lots of smiles there today 🙂
Thanks, Sharon – I’m supposed to be taking down my Christmas tree but would rather write! LOL And now I’m heading out for a walk – oh well – there’s always the weekend, right?
