Microfiction Monday #61

Once again, here is this week’s microfiction prompt from Susan at http://www.stonyriver.ie/, followed by my somewhat gruesome take on it.

The Washer Woman

No matter how hard she scrubbed or how much soap she used, the blood stains remained.  If only she had worn an apron when she knifed him!

  1. Ooh- a dark murder mystery. I hope the CSI folks will catch her. Good one, Sylvia. My husband said he liked this one because it reminded him of me….He has a quirky sense of “humor.”

  2. Sylvia, I’m glad I got here a day late so I could read your post about your Gary. He sounds like a wonderful guy – to inspire such love in you for all those years. I hope that today you hear his voice inside you encouraging you, loving you, and inspiring to do things that are meaningful.

And your MFM is hilarious, too!

  3. A great story! I was trying to think along the same lines – but didn’t manage it.

I haven’t been reading your blog long but when I read your post for today I wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss.

  4. What a great and gory story for the day! I love it! Thanks as always for your visit/comment. And I just read your post for today and just wanted you to know that my thoughts/prayers are with you as I know this had to be such a difficult year. You’ve handled it all much better than I think I would have. This next year will be a bit better, not a lot, but a bit.

    Sylvia
