Microfiction Monday #34

Once again it’s time for Microfiction Monday, where Susan from Stony River www.stonyriver.ie posts a picture or photo for people to write about in 140 characters or less. Check out the stories and give it a try–it’s lots of fun.

Here is this week’s picture and my story to go with it:

“Tell me again, ma–what you did when grampy kicked you out for marrying another species?”
“I kicked him back, of course. Now keep walking.”

    1. Thanks for your comments, everyone. I stared at that picture quite a bit before writing, waiting for the animals to talk to me. That’s when the mama told her story. 🙂

  1. OUCH! Donkey kicks HURT! But good for mom for staying true to her . . . oh wait, I don’t see him anywhere hanging around…hopefully he’s at the office and didn’t just run out on her when he found out the cross-species baby was imminent!
